Apparently, everybody just assumed somebody else would post about the latest Onyx Path project.

The They Came From... tabletop roleplaying games take your favorite movies, television shows, video games, and pop culture touchstones and turn them into action-packed and wise-cracking opportunities to tell your own versions of these cinematic stories. Previous releases have explored B-movie atomic horror from the 1950s (They Came from Beneath the Sea!), twisted tales of horror from the 1960s and '70s (They Came from Beyond the Grave!), quest-filled fantasy adventure stories (They Came from the Cyclops's Cave!), and thrilling tales of world-saving espionage (They Came from [CLASSIFIED]!).

They Came From the RPG Anthology! is a collection of They Came From genre pieces made available under one cover. Some of the genres featured were pre-selected by the developer, others will be voted in by backers of this Kickstarter campaign. These individual chapters cover types of movies, TV shows, games, and more that have yet gone untouched in the They Came From tabletop RPG library.

You’ll find chapters here dedicated to Westerns, in the form of They Came from Cowboy’s Gulch!, and Noir, in the form of They Came from the Mean Streets! Going off the wall a little, we’ll also explore costume dramas from the Regency to the Edwardian period, with They Came from Bridgton Rectory!, and then transition from the screen to the stage with They Came from the Bard’s Quill! You’ll also find the much-demanded They Came from the Interstellar Starship!, as people haven’t stopped asking for it ever since They Came from Beneath the Sea! was released.

In addition to the five chapters already present in the draft manuscript, backers for this campaign will be voting weekly to select another genre to add to the list! By backing this campaign and supporting this project, you're not only helping to fund the continued development and production of this book, you'll be able to influence the contents as we add new chapters and cover new genres!

(Most if not all of the votes have closed by now. Being added to the mix are They Came from the Billiard Room with the Candlestick! {mystery solving in the Jane Marple/Benoit Blanc mode}, They Came from Beneath Capes and Cowls! {four-color superheroics in the Stunning Silver Age Style}, and They Came from the Meticulously Planned Bank Job! {heist and gangster movies}. Some worthy options got bypassed, but we may get a second chance to pick one of them.)

They Came From the RPG Anthology! is also a simplification of the system used in the They Came From games to date. Within this book you’ll find a quick play ruleset based on a streamlined version of the Storypath system. They Came From the RPG Anthology! also includes the Storypath Ultra ruleset as an Appendix so you can retroactively apply it to the existing They Came From games if you want to give them the full Storypath Ultra experience.
