For those who follow 'Beware of Chicken' on RoyalRoad, the SpaceBattles thread has been running some AU chapters where gramps sends Jin to the Soaring Heaven's Isle (an all female sect) instead of the Cloudy Sword Sect. He still dies and gets Isekai'd, but this death leads to more lighthearted hijinks.
