You know, years later, I have finally come up with a good in-universe reason why LA would have the first grimm attack. Obviously it's because LA has one of the highest concentration of fairy tale characters, with a Snow White, a Crimson Rose (Red), a curious girl named Alice, and of course a few water fairies.
