Katie was draped over Neph's lap, the cyborg playing with the seers hair. "Neph.... I know you don't get along with Gir."
Neph snorted. "Understament."
"Yes well, I was thinking, Gir is pretty child like despite looking to be in her twenties.... I have Seerers living under me that are still child like despite having adult bodies.... What if I arrange a play date?"
"And what do I get out of this?"
"Your sister out of your hair for a day?"
"Deal."
Katie jumps up and goes in search of Gir.
Later.
Steel Canyon.
Vanguard Safe house.
Katie opens the door and calls out. "Girls, I'm home and I brought a visitor." She steps to one side so Gir can enter.
Immediately the hall is filled with former Seers, a wave of psionic energy rolling forth as they mind speak.
Katie raises her hands. "Girls girls, remember, that creeps out people, use your voices."
The whirl of psyonic asks where replaced with croaky voices, the Seers still not used to using their natural voices after years in the network.
Gir nervously waves. "H-hello?" She mutters.
Katie pats her back. "This is Gir, she is from Preatoria like us, though she might like meeting you guys."
Gir cringes as she feels mental finger tips poking her mind before many of the seers look at each other and leave. Gir sighs. "They know I am part Cole, they don't want anything to do with that."
One seer remains, looking to be in her teens, her brown hair shot through with grey, she steps forward and smiles. "You are like me.... Broken."
Gir blinks as Katie smiles. "This is Amanda, she is sort of like you... A kid in an adult's body... Well not adult but you get what I mean?"
Gir nods and steps forward. "Hello Amanda.... Um... What do you do?"
The teen smiles and takes Gir's hand. "I watch the ponies, come, it will be fun."
Katie smiles as Gir follows Amanda into the TV room and fistA pumps. "I am the best den mother ever."A
