Old business! Once again, we forgot that A Thing of Vikings (HTTYD/Disney's Mulan/the 11th century) is live and updating!

Much ink has been spilled over the centuries debating and debunking the nature of Stoick the Wise’s visions. Skeptics and others more explicitly opposed to the Norse beliefs have repeatedly pointed at the hallucinogenic nature of the dragon venoms that were used to sedate and stabilize him after his injuries, claiming that what he saw was little more than a drug-fueled hallucination. Believers, in contrast, simply reiterate that there are many ways in which altered states of consciousness are used to touch and commune with the divine. The fact that Stoick’s case was unintentional is, from their perspective, little different from the ecstatic fasting and dances of some esoteric Christian practices, meditative practices of Buddhist groups, or even the explicit use of peyōtl by the Wixáritari people of the Vestrilands to commune with their gods and divine forces.

And through to even newer business! Time for another chapter of In the Raptor's Claws: Earth, Romulus, and the War that Birthed the Federation (ST, mostly Enterprise), showing the start of The Blue/Pink Alliance!

In the months following the Babel and San Francisco conferences, Earth and Andorian engaged in a series of shared missions and new partnerships intended to expand and deepen their budding alliance. Unlike the relationship between Earth and Vulcan prior to the Kir’Shara Reformation, Earth-Andorian relations were to begin on a more equal footing. Though the powers had met in both antagonism and friendship, Andoria had never been Earth’s colonial master. This was to be an alliance of, if not equals, then something very like it. If some thought this alliance was, as Ambassador Soval once put it, “little more than an abiding but tempestuous quasi-romance between Captain Archer and Commander Shran,” it would soon grow far beyond that.
