Not exactly a news item, but it's nice to know that the US Securities and Exchange Commission has made provision for feline ownership of stock.  See this actual Schedule 13G, recently filed by Reddit meme stock guy Roaring Kitty:

Check the appropriate box to designate whether you are a cat:
