CBC: New human rights commissioner resigns before starting role

I'm not going to atttempt a tl;dr on the article -- too many groups are telling only parts of the story, and nobody is telling the same parts of the story. It's a "he said, he said" situatiobn.

But what is clear is that the background check wasn't done by the groups that usually do background checks at this level of government.
