Even if it ends up being bulky, there's a definite case to be made for emergency equipment (lights and radio, even if it's only a reciever, and things like smo0ke alarms) and perhaps implanted items like a pacemaker that only needs a very small amount of power but you really want it to not run out of charge or need a battery change. I would say cell phones, but then you get the race to be ever smaller and lighter, and how the corporate overlords having been pushing to make upgrading to the new year's model to be more than just a fashion choice -- something about iP{hones getting udpaytes that hose the currrent-tech battery life, I think?
