The new Seraph's

[Dark Seraph]

Kings Row 
Seraph's Workshop.

Seraph was with Aura in the forge, teaching Aura the art of blacksmithing where the was the ring of a door bell and a voice called out. "Mister Seraph! I'm here for my lessons!"

Seraph swore. "Shit, I double booked, wait here a second Aura." He said as he stepped into the store, curiously Aura poked her head out to see what was going on.

Standing there in a grey shirt and skirt was a thick set woman with wall eyes and a mop of blond hair, chattering happily with Seraph, she spotted Aura and waved as Seraph sighed.

"Aura, this is Diana, my other apprentice, well, technically my government appointed side kick." He explained.

Aura frowned, she thought she was his apprentice.

Diana smiled. "See, mister Seraph has high security clearance, but isn't doing much with it, so the government hooked us up and now he is teaching me."

Aura's frown deepened, the feeling of certainty fleeing.

Seraph rubbed his head. "I must of screwed up and booked both your sessions for today."

"It's okay mister Seraph." Aura said weakly. "You can go train her.... I'll um.... Make nails for that Croatoa order."

He smiles. "I'll be back in a few hours, okay?"

As he leaves with Diana, Aura stepped back into the workshop and pulled out her phone, tapping in a number.

Boomtown.

Gir was holding a girder in place as her co worker Brad the demon used a rivit gun to join in when her phone went off. "You good Brad?" She asked as he nodded, letting go of the girder as the rivits took the weight and fished out her phone.

"Girtrude here, how can I help you?"

"It's Aura.... Can... Can you come home?" The Oni asked nervously.

Gir looked at her watch, then wave to Brad. "Got to clock off, hero stuff."

Brad chuckled. "Make sure to fill out the paper work." He called back.

Gir floated down and filled out her time slip, before rocketing off to King's Row.

Aura was slowly pounding out nails when she heard the door bell jingle and sighed in relief.

Gir made her way into the back and hugged the Oni, the shorter woman momentarily lifting Aura off the ground. "What's wrong big sis?"

Aura was not sure why Gir refered to her as sister... But it felt nice, a sense of belonging... Which she needed right now.

"Seraph has another apprentice." The Oni said weakly.

Gir gasped. "But he has you!"

Aura nodded. "This one was sent by the government."

Gir blinked. "Ohhhhh, sort of like Neph and Briar?"

Aura nodded.

Gir gave her another hug. "Well, she may be from the government, but he chose you, so that makes you special! Right?"

The Oni had not thought of it like that, smiling slightly. "Thank you... Lil sis." She says softly.

Gir pats her back. "There we go... How about we get lunch, I flew really fast to get here and am hungry as."

"But... I have to make nails...."

"Nails can wait, I'm sure dad will understand."



Am I retreading old ground with Diana, yes... But here's the thing. I made her on live before the shut down, so never really got to explore her story.... So this is more me picking up a decades old story.
