I seem to remember that series.  The boyfriend is a sorta-si, is a writer himself, follower of the Egyptian pantheon, creates/synthesizes a hyper-dimansional plastic(with diamonds) from a fic...  Maybe?

I seem to remember it starts by him explaining his death (at tokyo tower?) saving Sailor Uranus' life after winning a magazine competition (set up by Sailor Pluto to maintain her pre-destination paradox of existence) and going back to stop Uranus' breakdown

It gets weird, but also jumps around to other characters
