The one talking about 'the strait of Lake Superior' is a joke, Superior connect to Huron via a river, not a strait.
However, the canal ships use to travel between them is entirely on the Canadian side as I understand it. So we technically could close it. Not sure it'd be a great idea though.

Besides, the Weyland Canal between Lakes Erie and Ontario is definitely on Canadian soil and would hurt the US more if we were to go that route.

Might be enough to push Dozin' Donny into full meltdown though.
