Pure coincidence, probably convergent memes or something. I had the final confrontation between Doug and Quincy outlined and semi-written as far back as 1997.

Which is a difference from my original notes and drafts from way back -- as originally envisioned, he went out in full obnoxious jerk mode. But at that stage, the Sabers were somewhat more like friends, and could take it as the humor it was intended to be.

Anyway, I'm glad you approved! These last couple days have been murder; I kept second-guessing all manner of details, and my prereaders kept pointing out little issues that needed fixing. I'm glad it's more or less finished.
At least until Chris and I start work on DW5...
