Fortunately, the relationship is closer to what Doug thinks it is than what Quincy thinks it is. There is a resonance between them, but neither one is "responsible" for the other.
By the way, on a related topic, I'm surprised that no one's made a comment yet on the line "Hey, I'm no more fictional than you, buddy!"
