Spellsinger was a very early influence on the concept that became Doug. I'd like to think that in an medieval context Doug would have essentially become a D&D-style Bard, which I suppose is pretty close to the Spellsinger paradigm. Doug specifically in that universe? Mm. I could see both constructive and destructive intersections of his magic and Jon-Tom's...
The other two I've not read yet, so I can't really comment.
