[story] not-so lone wolf
Re: [story] not-so lone wolf
#2
Interesting story - a bit darker than the usual Fenspace story, but far from the darkest story here. You're pushing the "reliable biomodding" boundary, but you aren't the first to do so (and a mention in a later chapter that none of the three wolf-people have exactly the same biomod would remove this concern neatly - assuming they don't have exactly the same biomod, of course).
But you asked about a couple of points. I can give you my thoughts on them, for what that's worth...
Quote:
1) There is significant black market interest in space
Definitely; the first massive crossover depends on this.
Quote:
1a) more than one criminal element (or one that is willing to spend enough) are interested in maintaining the upper hand mook wise. It's a little hard to threaten people when then can mop the floor with you.
Likely; simply because Fen call every heavily-armed nasty "Boskonian" doesn't mean the heavily-armed nasties work together. Some will go the hardtech-weapon route, others will go for biomods. (The really successful Boskonian is likely to go with both, in my opinion.)

2) We care about the biology of biomods enough to start looking at dietary restrictions, or at least dietary hampering. This may well be treated the same as bathrooms (aka not at all).
Probably, unless it's a plot point somewhere. People will know what they can and cannot eat, and stock their own supplies accordingly; restaurants will make a habit of being able to accomodate their regular customers; everyone else will ignore the issue - there's no real reason to mention dietary restrictions in most stories.
