Personally, my thought would be more along the lines of "unfathomably large." Just set it to unfathomably large and run with it. It's not giving particularly good feedback on how large it is, after all. The only way to find out how big it *really* was would be to try to fill it. Figure that everything you and yours can think of to fill it comes up with a "nope. try again" until you give up. After that, you just #define "do I need more storage now?" to "no", and react accordingly. There's a point after which adding another order of magnitude just doesn't *help* all that much.
Also, I'd bet that this stuff would have a strong tendency towards the mythical - particularly in quirks. That's going to be interesting for the people who just want it for its "hold a lot of data" nature - particularly since... We already have what looks like the beginnings of a unique mythical AI/Voice Of The Goddess springing spontaneously from this stuff
