May 2010: The first class (of five students) graduates from the Vesta Institute of Biochemistry.
December 21, 2012: USS Miranda detects an alien automated beacon, 1,000 light-years from Sol.
Edit: AAAAAAARGHHHH!!!!! December 12, not 21!!!!! And I didn't catch the transposition until after the latest update...
