It's well established procedure among motorsports and stuff for doing good, dimensionally accurate composite monocoque chassis.
Hrrrrm. Makes me reconsider trying to make the "almost pure 'wavium" idea work at all. Stuff ain't free.
Head and face... well, that's different, and I'm well open to help. I've some idea on what I look like, but translating to flesh (well, flesh-ish) is trickier and outside my skillsets... to say *nothing* of facial animatronics. I could just goop it and hope it works, but... that seems kinda half-assed and less than likely to produce good results.

Quote:Note I mean "female mold" in the sense of "convex" not in the sense of "mold of a girl" even though in this case, it'd be that too.
Oh, IIIIInteresting..

Quote:Yeah, uh... being that topheavy would screw with all sorts of things, giant steel knockers of doom commentary aside. Besides which, the body is something I want to do myself; I know exactly what I'm going for and, if the goopkludge idea doesn't work, I know how to make all the bits. Metal cyborg bodies are more engineering than artistry... or at least it's a different sort of artistry than normal. Either way, it's a kind I'm good at. Hell, I almost wonder if that might not be cooler anyway... some of the nickel-based alloys polish up really really well too.
Very nice! I can get you in touch with some really good sculptors here on Kandor, with varying degrees of personal aesthetics. Here's a gallery link.
To be frank, I'd skip the Wildstorm Avatar Works if you're basing your frame off of Gunm/Battle Angel Alita. They tend to craft female forms with *ahem* low agility and high proportional ratios. And I'd definitely go for someone else to craft your head and face. Those guys can't make ANY expressions work right except a grimace.
Not to toot my own horn, but I've gotten pretty good at crossing the "uncanny valley" on 'waved animatronics. I'm adept at "Disney Theme park" style for Hardtech, and I made the Kusanagi installation at the last Kandor "fanarts" gathering. I'm not so good at the AIs myself, so I'm not known for my Androids as much as my "puppets."
I'll "PM" you with the contact information if you're interested.
