not sure which thread to put this in

First off, handwavium basically shot all of humanity pass the event horizon of the Technological Singularity, with the Fens being truly Rapturous Nerds (a la Ken MacLeod).
I don't think so, a tech singularity requiers repeatability and some understanding, and no-one understands handwavium, and few of the principles it works on are understood.
I do like some of your group ideas though, even if most would not fit that well with fenspace. There are few handwavium objects that can be replicated, the closest the fen have archieved is to breed highly specialized strains of handwavium, and even the duplicates are rare. (in the form of exact dupplicates, but if there are a million spacesuits the are roughly a million desings, though some only have subtile differences.)
Edit: oh and the proper thread for this would probably be plotbunny for slae cheap: p202.ezboard.com/fdrunkar...ID=1.topic
E: "Did they... did they just endorse the combination of the JSDF and US Army by showing them as two lesbian lolicons moving in together and holding hands and talking about how 'intimate' they were?"
B: "Have you forgotten so soon? They're phasing out Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
