First off, I really like this. Kudos for originality.
If that's 2009, then you've missed out on being First Fen - TSAB is already Up, and nobody's a pioneer after the government's gotten involved - but you've got a lot more places to park. Heck, Stellvia would even be able to take Lenny inboard by that point if the 'Blade was out of its parking spot. (And Noah's a lot less paranoid in 2009 than he is later in the setting - he'd probably offer to set up an e-mail account for your character on his servers, and might even offer him a job.)
