Quote:tbh, I don't see anybody falling for the Star Destroyer ruse unless, well, somebody else is out there already producing Star Destroyers. No, I think Rob has the right of it. The wonder of Fenspace is you never know what you're going to find out there -- you can never, ever rule out the possibility of any particular ship/ship class showing up.
Feinan, that's a wonderful piece of work. I have a couple comments on it: first, you overused "glowing" a whole lot in the description of the Victorian bridge. Second, the "bare space" interface has been seen before -- the Babylon 5 sequel movie "Legend of the Rangers" used such an interface for its fire control -- the weapons officer slid into a zero-g room like this, and then "fought" the ship's battles with physical punches and kicks at virtual targets. (Bonus for fans: the actress playing the weapons officer was Myriam Sirois, the English voice of Akane Tendo... which made watching her punch out spaceships all the more fun. )
