Well, not a cross-over per say, but I can easily imagine some sort of anime/NASA fen establishing themselves on the Solomon islands who use just this schtick, because 1) it's fun, 2) it's profitable, and 3) the Handwavium LOVES it.
ETA: Just started watching the series (thank god for torrents and fast internet connections). Yeah, these girls, in one form or another, are making it in even if it's because the NASA-Fen at 36 Atalante setup a base in the Solomons.
