This is one of the reasons the Trekkies aren't as huge a player in Fenspace as their size might indicate (aside from having no UFP PCs, anyway): there's such a huge amount of variation that nobody can agree on anything. Uniforms, equipment, spacecraft... everybody's partisan about it & it keeps them from reaching consensus. And don't even think about the mess that is The Great Constitution War...
(fwiw, Mal favors ENT-style jumpsuits for shipboard duty, with the WoK-TUC uniforms for dress kit and something from the WH40K collection for intimidation purposes.)
