Argh, there's *something* to be said about handwavium AI and the Singularity rattling around in my noggin, but it doesn't want to seem to come out in any usable form. 
Something about known Superhuman AIs, who probably *could* jumpstart a hard takeoff singularity... if they felt like it; they don't feel like it. Today, anyway. Check back tomorrow.
Also, we need to work in a reference to Wizard AI researcher Eleazar Yudkowsky (aka fanfiction flavor-of-the-month Less Wrong) somwhere. If only because it amuses me.
