Effective immediately, Condition CHARTREUSE is in effect.
The disturbing news from Earthside has been confirmed. CONUS has been replaced
by what appears to be an alternate version of itself based on a series of novels by Harry
Turtledove (see attachment for text reference).  The so-called "Confederate States of
America" are currently in preparation for an atrocity to rival the Shoah. We do not intend
to allow this to continue. Steps are being taken and a multi-faction coalition is being formed.
Expect friendly contact from PVO, Stellvia, Senshi, and Roughrider forces.
GSS BELISARIUS is ordered to proceed at maximum possible speed to Fleet Rendesvous
ALPHA.
