Ben as Unit 02 though? Interesting, especially if he gets to mess around like Go-kun in Nobody Dies. I had originally thought of Shinji, but I do suppose that is a little played out... unless the idea of an ancient, cackling prankster version of Shinji with intentions of playing merry hell with everyone's heads (especially Gendo - Benjamin will have him marked out as a Special Friend once he realizes where he is) is played out.
Another option comes to mind. Ben as Unit 01. Observe:
Shinji: Who... WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?
Ben: Me? Kid, I'm your new best friend, and I'm gonna show you how to walk, talk, kick-ass and take names like a real man.
Shinji: ... Leave anything out?
Ben: Fucking, but that's not my job. If you somehow manage to endear yourself properly, Gina might show you.
Shinji: There's more of you in here!?
Ben: Nah, Gina's someplace else. Dunno where she'll turn up but I have my suspicions.
Later...
Ben: ... Ooooooohhh! I know that move!
Shinji: What do you mean?
Ben: You'll see. When this is all over with, tell Asuka that Black Rider says hi.
