The engine seals uses some tough WFC derived ceramics, and the whole thing inside is ceramic plated, so it'll tolerate a fair bit more than 1000kW with little trouble. The hard part is keeping the thing cool on a run. Jet considered building a wholly ceramic engine, mixed with a combination of exotic alloys, determined that it'd probably work, probably be tuneable for big power and also probably be insanely expensive and prone to catastrophic failure of the engine starts to knock.
