Actualy....where is that available?

There've been attempts at such treatments from quite early on, as it's an obvious way of getting badly injured people to advanced medical facilities without them dying on the way.  A drug injector which did this, on detecting almost certain death, featured in at least one Space Opera tabletop RPG.
