"It was very frightening, and since the Convention had to be continued by interwave I didn't get to finish the live concert... it was a rough beginning for Sunshine Galaxy," is her usual comment. Because even in the Future, not everyone is a badass.I think that at least two of the convention programme streams (one physical, one Interwave) continued all the way to the advertised time and date for the Closing Ceremony. One very important programme item was Noah's presentation of the Whole Fenspace Catalog.
Meanwhile, quite a lot of people worked on repair of the convention venue (and, for that matter, repair of the injured people and vehicles), and by the end there was little physical sign that the attack had taken place.
I could quite imagine, though, that for a lot of people, if they had anything to do with the convention, after the attack, it would be via the Interwave. Attending the post-attack part of the physical programme via an Interwave-connected drone was almost certainly something at least some people did, rather than just watch a passive feed. It's possible something like a parallel convention, such as has been done in Second Life, was run, or at least expanded, with each side being able to see each other on a large screen, a virtual one within the virtual world.
