Hmmmmmmmmmm...
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
It's an intriguing story, but...
Handwavium needs some sort of intelligent (or at least self-aware) guidance to work. If it's just sitting in a tip, it isn't getting that guidance.
How do we fix this?

This has Mako's mind backed-up in it, so things are definitely getting transfictional...
The notes, which were the first thing the handwavium dissolved, are an incomplete description of the use of the character 'Mako' in a role-playing game, and in particular the name of her rider has been (water?) damaged.
The Little Black Egg is a magical artifact on the run from its owner, who is Mako's rider. It is self-aware on a basic level, but is bound (for historical reasons) so that it's almost powerless. Getting Mako incepted might have given it enough leverage on the Fenspace world that it could make the next dimensional jump in its escape bid.
I'd hoped to avoid involving the Egg, as it ties-down certain future story options, but I think it should be workable. That is, assuming it doesn't (on a Meta level) upset too many other people.
Edit: Or, at least the role-playing gaming scenario described the LBE that way. Alteratively, instead of the LBE being a magical artifact from outside the Fenspace universe, it is in fact something waved-up by the RPGer who wrote the notes, and it is in fact basically self-aware, and was thrown away with the notes, handwavium, etc. The RPGer was so scared by having made the LBE that he went no further?
Doing it that way avoids introducing any definite transfictionality, at this point, or any implied DQS event.
Still, it is funny the way that the LBE has disappeared...
(No, it is not concealed somewhere about Mako, and it can't be found on the fly tipping site.)
