... OK, I'll admit going in that I'm feeling leery about this, but also bizarrely hopeful.

Alright, I'm done. I'll be serious now.

To be perfectly honest, I've only got two issues with this. One, is that I find it odd that the Wolkenritter would decide to save anyone. Pre-character development anyway. The way you describe them at first, makes them feel like attack robots at first. Merciless and unrelenting, but smart enough to plan and know when they're out-gunned. There's probably a little character development in between their creation and the attack on the station Len's at. Alternatively, their creator/commander being a little upset that they follow some knightly code of not striking down those who can no longer fight might be an interesting scene. Down that route is just the fact that there's only so many opportunities for their more chivalrous quirks to show up, but once they start, they're hard to stop.

Either way, it's nothing a little fleshing out can't fix.

Now, the second issue is more of a personal one. Len's last name is Gale. Beck, for all that I haven't written something with him yet (One day, I swear I'm going to finish something) also has that same last name. Now, it could be just a coincidence. Or it could be more fuel for Beck's decent into not-quite-sanity. Whatever works.

Other than that, I like it. The Wolkenritter's magic being tricks, the massive maintenance hours their bodies must eat, and even the shared perception are neat ideas.
