I think they Post Date Beck Gale quite a bit. But that might be the story right there. A 'good guy' going bad at the same time 'bad guys' go good.

Beck Gale driven to desperation starts sinking lower and lower in his search, eventually going straight through the moral event horizon while the Knights manage to crawl back up out of it. Although, the WR only appear towards the end of 2015.... while Len Gale isn't taken until end of 2018/start 2019. The dates don't really line up for both characters, unfortunately.
The WR's start date is already defined by the presence of the Metaverse, which doesn't show up until mid-2015, with the Boskone influence inside the company being rooted out in February 2016. Also making the WR unique as the conditioning takes time to achieve.
