>>S. Stingray is ALSO Jet;
Not only have they been in the same room as each other. They've been recorded as being on different planets, publically, at the same time. Let Conspiracies have it's ball. It's just a conjoined fandom.
>>such a good actor that maybe this 'renegade' act is yet another version of her,
In that case, she's destroying her future, her reputation and burning her bridges, for what possible gain? It's one thing to fall on your sword and take the blame for a botched op..... this is more like falling on your own grenade.
Is it worth it?
Nobody sane and capable of planning something like this would think so, unless they were really dedicated to their duty.

>>certainly it fits the persona that we the 'unwashed masses' see in the webfeeds.
I think we see her real self in public. Jet the Priss. It's who she was before the Boskone war hit.
Then, she's also the person capable of giving this TED talk, on cybernetics and how they actually effect their recipients, and especially cybernetic ethics. Worth watching, unless you have a particular love for cockroaches. That's Jet the Engineer.
Then. We get Jet the Warrior. A martial arts instructor. A decorated veteran. A cybernetic weapon. But damaged.
It's possible to be all three at once without ever requiring any sort of multiple personalities or something daft like that. Like a clover can have three leaves but still be the one plant.
Not all Mary Sues are simple wave-formed cardboard cuttouts.
