> Shinji Tanaka
Dammit. Jet had told me this part while we were waiting for the lockdown to be lifted, and I need to address this in public. I knew Shinji. We met in 2014, when Void Shipping was expanding. Can't remember who recommended him to me, doesn't really matter now. Offered him a job captaining one of my new ships, but he turned it down. He was relatively happy where he was. We then spent about five hours talking about old Transformers toys and shows, great old time. Huge Beast Wars fan. After that, we stayed in contact, usually just via chat, but sometimes in person. He was the one that contacted me in 2016 when that collector waved all his old toys and we had a tiny Autobot/Decepticon war in Helium. That's when I found out he was one of the many old timers who told SHIELD to keep their number, just in case. When I asked him about it, he tried to wave it off, sense of duty and all, but I think it did disturb him more than he let on. Trying to put the war behind him, but always keeping your guns clean, just in case. I think we all know how that goes.
If SHIELD called, Shinji would have done it. He did cleanup after too many Boskone raids not to. Knowing that the assholes used him to do it all over again? Christ. That burns, and I know it'd burn him too. He'd do whatever it took to make it right.
Shinji Tanaka was no traitor. He was a patriot, and a friend.
I'll tell his tale to those who ask. I'll tell it truly, the ill deeds along with the good, and let him be judged accordingly. The rest, is silence.
