Well, if you are looking for overall survivability, the corruptor is it, and Traps gives you a few more "survival" tools that you can exploit. Mainly the PFF generator and the Triage Beacon. and a T9 Pistol Shot with Scourge is devastating. I kinda like Scourge over the Blaster "Build Up Shot" mechanic for Pistols. Now, that means you'll want to get more out of Trip Mine, Time Bomb, and the T9 at high levels over just Jumping in with a T9.
Also, when you do a re-build, remember your Rule of 5. Only 5 Bonuses of one type, IE 5 3% Damage, 5 10% Regen Bonus, etc...
