Revisiting Jelidan: Kat/SR - Build advise before I start slotting...

#2
*Insert non-expert, my Kat/SR is 31 disclaimer here*.

Comparing those builds, it looks like they use a lot of the same sets in the same ways, but there's one big difference between yours and the other two - they both have the fighting pool.

This ends up being a pretty major difference. Weave with a single L50 defense IO gives more defense than Stealth and Maneuvers combined give your build, for less end, and it benefits more from adding slots than any other pool defense you can get. (Arguably, it also provides more net benefit than slotting the SR passives, but that's a more involved argument.) Then there's the Steadfast Protection +3% defense IO in Tough. The resistance from Tough doesn't hurt either, if you can afford to run it. Then they add Combat Jumping, which isn't as good for slotting out (although I don't regret doing so on one of my characters), but is pretty respectable for all-around gain.

Going the other way. KosmosKatSR has a great deal less regen than your build. (Also missing medicine, but since it's on legacy fitness, getting medicine in could be done without any real changes.) KatSRpvp doesn't have anywhere near the recovery. Neither has Divine Avalanche.

From now on, I think I'll drop KosmosKatSR from comparison, because trying to compare three things is a real hassle, and the other seems to be far more comparable to your overall design anyway.

Mostly the same power choices. Differences: You have Divine Avalanche, Stealth, Maneuvers, Physical Perfection. Other has the fighting pool and Combat Jumping.

Stealth and Maneuvers I'm pretty comfortable to recommend dropping in order to get the fighting pool. Divine Avalanche is a bit uncertain; I'm pretty sure there's some scenarios where it's worth having once you're past the softcap, but I'm not sure if they'd be common enough to justify it. (Unless it's a PvP thing, in which case I've got no idea.) Physical Perfection... I'm a bit less sure. It certainly makes a big difference to your recovery, and a moderate but noticable one to regen, and SR is a set that benefits a lot from regen bonuses.

I like the other's slotting on Elude, if you can afford the HOs for it. Plenty of recharge plus some more defense. And if you're looking down the barrel of cascading defense debuff, you probably want as much as you can get. (Although in that case I'd go for 3 Membranes. The difference in recharge is negligible, the defense might matter.)

The Performance Shifter proc is probably more effective over time than the third common EndMod in Stamina.

A single L50 common recharge is probably enough for Practiced Brawler. It's near-perma with that and Quickness, and then you've got recharge bonuses.

Unless you routinely have Super Speed on while fighting, the EndRed seems superfluous. If you do routinely do that... I don't know, really.

If it were me, I think I'd drop Divine Avalanche, Stealth, and Maneuvers, and get the fighting pool. With 2 level 50 common defense in Weave, the Res/Def in Tough, and swapping a couple sets, I got 47/46/49, which strikes me as pretty decent on the face of it. This does use Mako's Bite to get the ranged defense, and if you want all the IOs at 30 (which I assume is for exemplaring purposes), it's going to lose a bit on damage compared to the Touch of Death set. (Not to mention that the proc is a more resisted damage type, but I think that's less likely to matter much.) Switching 5 Scirocco's for 6 Multi-Strike is a bit better for damage, a bit worse for recharge. ... And that's about as far as I've gone with it. I feel like it's probably acceptable to give up some more AoE defense to have better margins against debuff on melee and ranged, and Weave could hold another set of Red Fortune for the ranged, but at this point, it's going to take a lot more shuffling to get the slots at the right levels, and it feels like time to stop and see if any of this sounds reasonable to you.
