That does bring up a couple questions. ECSNorway, were you logged in when you got that link you posted? And, after installing NoScript, when you right click on the NoScript icon, does it show any outboundlink domains in the list?
On that link, I'm pretty sure it is -not- doing anything like what VladimirTherin described. Running it through a javascript-enabled browser, it loads that thread, and then sends you to photobucket without any message. Also, there is a javascript file located on that page with a copyright notice for "Driving Revenue Inc." and containing code much like that described in the journal I linked to. (Although it appears not to function quite the same way.) No warning is displayed, nor is there any sign of any other processing being done.
This file is located on yuku's server, and seems to be getting loaded on all pages, but I haven't observed it doing anything unless the redirection code is in the url. Then it does something that invokes outboundlink.me (and fails if it's being blocked by noscript), and redirection happens. This script doesn't appear to be rewriting any urls statically or dynamically. Nonetheless, it is a required part of the framework for actually doing so, and as such is concerning.
