That's being awfully sensitive, considering the impetus is a "Republicans for Voldemort" shirt. I mean, we on the left were being accused of
being Communists for years, not to mention being accused of being terrorist-coddlers and Saddam Hussein-lovers far more recently. And the right have been
compared with fascism for quite awhile before Bush came around and made it fashionable.
If this bothers you so much, then let us all consider it a valuable lesson in polite political discourse.
Also, do you seriously think Republicans winning every election is a "reason will prevail" situation? I'm hard-core left and I wouldn't want
the Democrats (or my own country's Liberals) to win all the time. Parties who are secure in their power become corrupt and ineffectual. Bush made a hash of
things (I think his disapproval rates even among his own constituency make that as objective a statement as you can possibly get in politics, regardless of
opinions on any one specific action) and his party are almost certainly going to get turfed out for it. That's how politics are supposed to work in a
functioning multiparty democracy.
