After a few minutes smacking down thugs and Snakes in Fort Darwin, I successfully made contact with my target organization: Dark Heart High. I was straining the Balseraph Attunement to its limits while speaking with Principal DeWinter, and Professor Demimondaine took an unhealthy interest in me....

The Student Council President is a sharp one, and several of the upperclassmen make me nervous. Those Twins, especially. I remember hungry glances like that from some of the guys in Tokyo-3, but these grins add a "playing with our food" element.
I was brought along on an "extraction" mission and encountered Russian Special Forces. My traumatic experiences in my second reality served me in good stead for once, and I think I've impressed my way into a general mid-level "popularity."

Oh my Boss. I just robbed a bank. I'm so glad Eva set up a channel so I could get the special effects cars and trucks into place as I travelled from the Etoilles.
I spent most of the "mayhem session" surreptitiously casting my AT fields and Songs of Protection on the civilians, police and Longbow personnel to prevent lasting injury from Braende's plasma. My own sonics triggered the SFX charges and a few "bloodpack squibs" on some stuntmen I recognized. Nothing like "blood from the ears" to show I'm a badass sonic Corruptor, "killin' their dudes."
Eva, our insurance IS covering the damages, right?

We've got this schlub calling himself "Baron Modrogor" summoning some CoT badness called Bat'Zul. I've gotta put kibosh on this. Let the rest of the students think I'm trying to get the mojo for myself. This needs Done.

There are times I'm glad Arachnos has the "destined ones" as a pseudo-police force. It's letting me remind myself I'm a hero. And there are other opportunities to work something positive.
Like helping Lucien Ferrara hide from his fangirls.
Well, really, I'm arranging time for him and Maddy to be alone. It's sweet really. And yes, that's my Lilim Attunement telling me they NEED each other. Fortunately my better nature lets me hhelp without forcing a geas on them.
I have a feeling if they'd had the opportunity to grow up in Paragon instead, they'd be some of the greatest heroes this generation would ever know...
