Now that I'm not at work, and so can sit down and do something besides accounting, I'll write up a description of Yukini's mannerisms.
Foremost, to understand how Yukini acts, you have to remember that she is a clone of Yukiyo. Because of that, she does not just live in her mother's shadow, most people expected her to BE her mother's shadow.
Because of that, she goes to great lengths to be as different from Yukiyo as she can be.
She dyes her hair, wears contacts, cuts her hair shorter and is in the process of building a machine to perform surgeries on herself to change her voice and appearance as soon as she's old enough for those to be similar to Yukiyo's.
In her mannerisms, as well, Yukini goes out of her way to be dissimilar to her mother. She speaks and acts with much more restraint than Yukiyo, she avoids magic as much as possible, curbs her curiosity when in the presence of other people, and disguises any that slips out as being scientific research.
That does not mean that she is not similar to Yukiyo, and chief of those similarities is her curiosity. However, unlike Yukiyo who simply observes whatever puzzles her, Yukini will add the subject to her list of things to study when opportunity strikes.
This structured method means that, on the whole, Yukini studies less varied subjects, but does so much more thoroughly than Yukiyo and usually only stops when she actually understands it.
Of course, if the subject happens to be someone with unique characteristics, Yukini will ask if they would be willing to submit to scientific studies, and usually receives a negative reply, in which case she proceeds with the study, but does so covertly.
