Well, having Alexis be willing to do it shouldn't be a problem if you can put the problem to her in a way that will pique her interest. (And, as you've
piqued the author's interest, that shouldn't be too hard.) Ginger ale also helps, but if they've just met I guess Mag won't know how to bribe
her yet. She might ask him to bring her some while she works though... '.'
As for being able to pull it off... well, I thought about it some while at work, and I think I've figured out a way that would suit her style.
(Style? Well, can't let her be able to build *anything*. Best way I can think of to restrict it is that I have to be able to come up with some way to have
it make sense for the way she does things. And she can't just do something like exploit the Law of Sympathy, because I decided that magic doesn't
*work* like that in her homeline. Also, it's better if it's something that suits her lazy-engineer philosophy.)
Next question I guess is, do you want me to write any dialogue for her for this? (Honestly I'd rather... Partly because I'm rather protective of
Alexis, since she is, you know, *me*, and partly because I'm overly amused by her final words of advice on using the units. '.' )
In any case, I'm off tomorrow, and can probably get online at most times if you wanted to talk about it.
