Hey Sofa.,
I teach medieval broadsword and kenjutsu. This includes a lot of additional techniques, including locks, strikes, takedowns and pressure point control
tactics. I don't teach people to look good while Tarantino has three cameras on them; I work with shortcuts, fast, brutal, techniques and no sense of fair
play whatsoever**. While swordplay is my passion (Not in a Boy Stauton sort of way - tenuous Canadian literary reference), I have been knocking about, and
getting knocked about in various martial arts all my life.
Everything used in that last fight I have taught or demonstrated. Including the tactical option to block fingers and the very ugly take down where you drop
someone on their own weapon.
Cheers,
Shayne
** I don't respect fair play in a real fight - I do respect the force continuum (It is not use the force Luke, it is use the appropriate force Luke)
