As for the Dark Mirror stuff, I'm looking back and forth between the comments and my characters and thinking, "Clones? No, seriously. Clones?"
Just because even in the most comic-bookey interpretation of cloning you can get, where cloning copies things like *memories*, and *scars*... most of them wouldn't have superpowers anymore!
I might have to pretend they're robot duplicates for it to make any sense at all. '.'
