So use "Pluu" instead - it has the same 'babytalk' effect, and -doesn't- bring to mind a certain bunnymallow.
As to plotlines... Maybe have his powers/defensive field 'wake up' some sealed demon or malicious kami? Something with a -completly- different modus operandi from Standard Sailor Moon Villian Number 42?
Also - what to do about Nephie? Kill him, redeem him, save him, leave him?
