The song is worded in such a manner that it is about somebody other than the singer.
Besides, I recall that previous discussion about this song pretty much cememted it as a "Doug becomes a naked super-speedster" song. The only reason it isn't in the Arsenal is because Bob never gave that effect his blessing, although he did say it could have been one of the songs in the "no shit, there I was" story Doug told Kate at the end of DWII.
