Rubberband, projected
Re: Rubberband, projected
#3
Wel, pretty much the only 'team support' slots that seem to get used are healer and communications/research in... I was going to say superhero stories, but really in just about anything I can think of. And, too, those roles are usually either a side line to some flashier combat ability or the charcter is relegated to the second or third string... 3e D&D had clerics playing stat-boodter, but 3.5e chopped the durations on things so the boost spells were no longer worth reserving a slot for - that was probably the inspiration behind the CoH buffer/debuffer powers, come to think of it. The ability to power up anyone you choose, even temporarily, would be such a useful thing to do, I think. Lisa put it to good use as Sailor Loon, and consider the implications for a hostage situation if you could throw some kind of invincibilityy effect - even just Tubthumping - on the human shield.

SERVO: Loook *deeeeply* into my eyes... Tell me, what do you see?
CROW: (hypnotized) A twisted man who wants to inflict his pain upon others.
