There seem to be quite a few songs with gambling references in the folk/country/gospel area, but the vast majority involve:
1: The gambler loses everything.
2: The gambler dies in some other manner than peacefully in his sleep.
3: The gambler gets caught cheating, either at the game or with someone's woman.
Or all three. None of this is particularly helpful for winningat gambling.
Oh, Paste magazine's included CD had a Lisa Loeb song that I can't find lyrics for, but is entitled "I Control the Sun". I think the power granted is fairly obvious, but it has the side effect that interpersonal skills can't be used for the duration. (The singer is complaining that despite all her power, she can't make a relationship work.)
