With this song playing, Doug can look at a situation and know what are each of the players' options, the most likely consequences of each choice, etc. to a certain depth of recursion. It also boosts his general mental faculties so that he can handle this influx of information.

This isn't supported by the lyrics or the title at all, but this song, to me, lets misfits "escape". I'm not sure how exactly it accomplishes this.
