Just to throw a little materials science into the mix, titanium is remarkable not for its strength – there are several elements and many alloys with greater strength by cross-section – but for its lightness. There are stronger metals than titanium, but they are all denser. There are lighter metals than titanium, but they are all significantly weaker. So the song might leave Doug with his normal strength and mass, but heighten his durability.
