I'd always thought that "Home" songs with a specific location in them -- the first one here and "Take Me Home, Country Roads" being two good examples -- should dump Doug in that location, whether or not they actually get him home. In fact, I have a fragment somewhere in which "Country Roads" drops Doug in the real-world Kat and Joe's yard in West Virginia...
